📢 Mechanical CAD Technician / Mid Weight Design Engineer

The Role :
As a key member of my clients engineering team, you will take ownership of mechanical design tasks from concept through to production, supporting the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective solutions. You will work closely with engineers, project managers and clients to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings, ensuring designs meet all necessary requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities :
* Produce accurate 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings
* Assist in developing mechanical designs from concept to completion
* Modify and update existing designs based on project or client requirements
* Collaborate with the wider engineering and production teams
* Perform basic engineering calculations and ensure designs meet specifications
* Support prototype builds and testing as required
* Maintain document control and design revision history
Requirements :
* Proven experience in a similar Mechanical CAD or Design Engineering role
* HVAC experience
* Proficient in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
* Strong understanding of mechanical principles, tolerances, and materials
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
* Effective communication and team‑working abilities
* HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field
