Kemnal Technology College is seeking an inspirational and visionary leader to shape the future of our English department. This is a fabulous opportunity for an ambitious educator ready for career advancement or an established professional.
We are a co-educational secondary school situated on the Bromley/Sidcup borders with close access to the A20. We are renowned for our iconic windows and hold a Grade II Listed Building status.
As Head of English Faculty, you will be responsible for:
1. Strategic Leadership: Developing and implementing a clear vision for the English faculty that aligns with the school's overall educational goals.
2. Curriculum Development: Overseeing the planning, delivery, and assessment of an engaging and challenging English curriculum in KS3 and KS4.
3. Team Leadership: Leading, motivating, and supporting a team to foster a collaborative and innovative departmental culture.
4. Teaching and Learning: Championing teaching practices within the faculty to ensure high standards and positive outcomes for all students.
5. Assessment and Data Analysis: Utilizing data to inform teaching strategies and drive continuous improvement.
6. Resource Management: Effectively managing the faculty's budget and resources.
7. Promoting a Love of Literature: Fostering a genuine passion for reading, writing, and critical thinking amongst students.
