Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 per annum (DOE) 6-monthly discretionary bonus Location: North London & Home Counties (M40–M11 corridor) – Essex base acceptable Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Passenger Lift Engineer to join a growing specialist lift services business. This is a field-based role covering North London and the surrounding Home Counties, ideally suited to a engineer based north of London or along the M40–M11 corridor. An Essex base is also acceptable. You will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of passenger lifts, ensuring all equipment operates safely, reliably, and in full compliance with relevant regulations. This role offers remote working, with no requirement to be office-based. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on passenger lifts * Diagnose faults and undertake repairs to minimise downtime * Conduct routine inspections and identify potential issues * Ensure all works comply with LOLER, SAFed, and relevant safety standards * Complete accurate service reports and documentation * Provide a professional and customer-focused service at all times Requirements & Qualifications * Proven experience in passenger lift maintenance and troubleshooting * Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in Passenger Lifts * Strong maintenance and repair skillset * Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Ability to work independently and perform effectively under pressure Training & Development * Opportunity to receive in-house training on platform lifts * Significant support and mentoring from senior technicians with multi-decade industry experience Benefits * Competitive salary of £40,000 – £55,000 depending on experience * Company vehicle provided for full-time use * 6-monthly discretionary performance bonuses * Remote working and flexible field-based role * Long-term career development within a fast-growing business
