Your new role
Working closely with the FC you will be integral to the financial processes and systems improvement. This role will be a varied role from daily accounting, bank reconciliation and supplier statement reconciliation as well as resolving queries with customers and suppliers alike. At month-end you will assist in thepletion of VAT returns, accruals/prepayments, journals, balance sheet reconciliation as well as analysis (using Excel to a high level) on stock/production and overheads. As you progress, you will providementary on the management accounts, liaising with the wider team and key stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
You will already possess a strong track record in accounting, ideally with exposure to monthly management accounts. You will likely be studying your CIMA/ACCA, although a stopped studier is also weed. It is preferable if you have worked in a smaller team, ideally in manufacturing, in order to understand the production process. A can-do attitude in a personable and team-orientated manner is essential.
