Reporting to the QHSE Manager, this is an opportunity for an astute and progressive quality professional to help shape an evolving UK&I business division that over the last 5 years has doubled revenue and launched new services. This important role holds oversight and governance for specialist QHSE resources within sub-divisions of the UK&I business and will ensure compliance with company QHSE standards, government regulations and industry standards. Through continuous monitoring you will keep the management system up-to-date and compliant with corporate standards, government regulations, and industry standards. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain pro-active QHSE relationships with customers and suppliers. • Report on business process performance, QHSE escalation and incident management. • Work with colleagues to ensure QHSE compliance, resolve issues and ensure non-conformances are detected early. • Provide QHSE advice across all levels within the organisation and ensure all aspects are addressed appropriately. • Travel to our sites and/or customer sites to coordinate and carryout above activities as needed. What you will bring to us: • Ideally degree qualified although not essential, you will love challenging yourself to improve • Have previous exposure gained in a relevant work environment (e.g. process industries, infrastructure, industrial technology, manufacturing, engineering, construction etc.) • Experienced in QHSE and knowledgeable in more than one of the following: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, ISO 45001, ISO 44001. • Ability to build trust, communicate effectively at all levels, build consensus, and achieve buy-in. • Possesses strong analytical skills, understands measures and targets as applied to KPIs. • Energetic with a proactive outlook to drive improvement but tempered by astute business awareness, able to judge when ‘good’ is ‘good enough’. What we promise to offer: • Competitive salary, level depending on experience, plus incentive package • Standard working hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. Flexibility will be required to meet customer and business needs • Some business travel may be needed but this will not be excessive • Superb benefits including company pension contribution up to 12.5% dependent upon criteria, private medical insurance and healthcare scheme, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with increments based on length of service, This is a permanent position, with our offices based at Runcorn, Cheshire.
