Job Responsibilities
* Provide clear, visible professional Occupational Health (OH) advice and support to promote the ethos and practice of OH to management and employees.
* Meet the OH needs of NHS Trusts and a wide range of private and public sector clients.
* Work autonomously as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Manage and provide professional leadership to junior OH nurses and to the wider multi‑disciplinary team within the Working Well service.
* Undertake or supervise specific projects, audits and research related to the professional development of OH nursing.
* Assist the Nurse Manager in leading and advancing clinical practice in line with Department of Health (DOH) guidelines and legislation.
* Take a senior role in the development and provision of a high‑profile, proactive occupational health service.
* Maintain confidentiality in line with professional guidelines.
* Deliver a high‑quality practical and preventative OH & Wellbeing Service to colleagues, supported by evidence‑based practice.
* Provide specialist guidance and support to managers and staff without direct supervision.
* Support and assist the Senior Leadership Team with the development of departmental procedures, protocols and standards to facilitate service improvement.
* Lead national programmes and initiatives within the service, providing training and guidance to managers and supporting education of the wider Trust and its contracted organisations.
* Manage own clinical caseload and work autonomously.
* Assist in the development of policies and protocols for the department.
* Demonstrate excellent management skills contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the service.
* Ensure that all notes and other forms of communication, whether verbal, electronic or written, are handled and maintained in accordance with relevant legislation.
* Take managerial responsibilities for junior members of the nursing team, including mentorship and encouragement.
* Attend relevant meetings with clients, providing occupational health input as required.
* Develop, set and audit standards to ensure the highest quality of service is maintained and to demonstrate evidence‑based practice.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Registered General Nurse (RGN) and Diploma in Nursing.
* Occupational Health Nursing Certificate (OHNC), Diploma or Degree.
* Post‑registration experience within occupational health.
* Evidence of clinical leadership and management experience.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
* NEBOSH Certificate.
* Experience using G2 or a similar system.

Contract and Compensation
* Contract: Permanent
* Working pattern: Full‑time

* Salary: £47,810 to £54,710 per annum
