We now have an opportunity for a qualified Finance Manager (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) to join our Management Accounts Team at Lancaster House in Leyland (Lancashire).
As our Finance Manager, you’ll produce monthly management accounts including all supporting activities and schedules. You’llprepare additional reports and supporting schedules for quarterly reporting and the year end audit as well as supporting other key finance tasks such as VAT returns.
This is a hybrid role, based 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely.
Job Accountabilities
1. Produce management accounts that are reviewed to highlight variances to budget/forecast; including accruals, prepayments, analysis of accounts and key P&L reconciliations
2. Assist with production of supporting schedules for annual statutory accounts & tax returns
3. Analysis of monthly costs & investigation of variances to budget/forecast
4. Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed and reviewed in line with group timetable and any issues are highlighted, investigated and actioned
5. Investigate and report on significant variances against budget/forecast
6. Identify P&L & BS risks/opportunities that may affect forecasts
7. Assist with preparation of annual budgets & monthly and quarterly forecasts
8. Hold regular aged debtor & creditor meetings and ensure aged items are investigated and cleared
9. Liaise with internal and external auditors & provide accurate & timely information to aid a smooth auditing process
10. Identify inefficient processes and propose changes
11. Oversee the preparation of VAT and other regulatory returns
12. Manage intercompany reconciliation process and settlement
To be considered for this role, we need you to have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
13. CIMA, ACCA qualified or equivalent
14. Previous experience in a busy, dynamic Finance department in a diverse Team
15. A proven track record of producing management accounts to strict deadlines
16. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
17. Able to work to strict deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
18. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
19. Experience of Sage (Sages X3 desirable)
