About The Role
As a Deputy Home Manager, you’ll be making sure the level of clinical care we offer goes beyond just professional standards and statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements. This means providing specialist support and advice, taking responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence, and supervising and coaching colleagues to provide a service that’s unparalleled in its empathy for resident issues.
You’ll be required to demonstrate knowledge of National Standards and have a background in person‑centred care planning within a care home. Your positive energy and natural ability to get along with people, mentor others, manage time effectively, keep meaningful records, and communicate with residents and co‑workers with consideration and kindness will be critical to your success.
About You
HC‑One is looking for a Deputy Home Manager with a valid knowledge of National Standards and a background in person‑centred care planning within a care home. Beyond that, your brilliant, positive energy and natural ability to get along with people, mentor others, manage time effectively, keep meaningful records and communicate with residents and co‑workers with consideration and kindness are essential. You’ll value kindness above all, which drives every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Our residents are people with their own stories, and you will join a team that cares about what matters most to them.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know how to respond. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You are also able to seek appropriate advice, report concerns and, if necessary, escalation.
