Support worker supported living /Healthcare assistants( Care Homes)

Due to expansion of the business we have exciting opportunities within our new homes working with clients on a daily basis.
We require the individual to be flexible and enthusiastic and be keen to provide a high standard of care.

* Pay rate is £12.21 per hour.
* Overtime available - paid at £13.21 per hour.:
* Location: West Yorkshire area, a few locations available, Normanton, WF6, Castleford, WF10, Wakefield, Rothwell, Crigglestone. .etc
* Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time only
* Working Hours : 42 hours per week
* Shifts patterns: we have a two-week shift pattern available consisting of one week 3 shifts, next one 4 shifts
* Working Pattern
1. Week A – Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday, 12-hour shifts
2. Week B – Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 12-hour shifts
* Opportunity to complete either NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Social Care (through work based learning) and further progression opportunities
* Shifts:
* · Days 07.45am-8pm
* · Waking Nights 19.45pm-8am

Experience in a similar role professional or personnel is mandatory.
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide care and support to individuals in various settings such as assisted living facilities or care homes.
Requirements:
3. It is essential to have demonstrable support worker experience, working with service users who have been homeless and/or have complex needs including, mental health, substance misuse and domestic abuse etc.
4. You must be able to assess service users needs in order to plan and deliver effective and engaging support.
5. You'll have strong organizational and communication skills both written and verbally.
6. You'll be able to manage risk, ensuring that all procedures are followed, and risk is managed appropriately.
7. You'll be able to support service users in volunteering and community work involving group activities.
8. You must be flexible to work weekends on a rota basis. You may on occasion be required to travel so access to a vehicle is desirable.
9. Ability to drive is desirable. Sometimes we need someone to drive a resident to his appointments.
10. Compassionate nature and excellent communication skills
11. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues
12. Experience in care homes is advantageous

Responsibilities/Duties:
28. Provide compassionate support and assistance to clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort and safety.
29. Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication administration, and personal care.
30. Monitor and document clients' health and well-being, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
31. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
32. Maintain clear communication with clients and their families, fostering a supportive environment
33. Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to maintain safety and compliance
34. Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers and mobility assistance
35. Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and privacy laws
36. Familiarity with medication administration, care plans, and patient monitoring protocols
37. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
38. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using appropriate techniques or equipment such as Hoyer lifts
39. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs
40. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
41. Capable of working independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team in fast-paced settings
42. Compassionate attitude with a focus on respectful resident-centered care
