Job Description

The FA Women's School Talent Education Operations Officer will provide exceptional administrative and operational support to the FA Women's Talent Education for Schools Team.

The Barclays Talent Education Programme is a new initiative building on the success of the Barclays Girls' Football School Partnerships. This innovative programme strengthens the connection between education and football, creating more opportunities for talented female players.

The programme aims to bridge the gap between the Barclays Girls' Football School Partnerships and the talent pathway, enabling more talented girls aged 8-16 in schools to transition into the talent pathway. Additionally, it ensures that girls aged 14-16 already within the talent pathway receive comprehensive support for their football development, academic studies, and lifestyle management.

This is a fixed term contract that will run until 30th June 2028.

Interviews are scheduled to be held at The National Football Centre, St. George's Park on Wednesday 20th August 2025.

What will you be doing?

* Provide administrative support to facilitate the regional delivery of the FA's Girls' Schools Talent Education Programme, ensuring effective dissemination of information within the Barclays Girls' Football School Partnerships (BGFSP) network.
* Provide operational and project management support to the FA Women's Talent Education Team working across all regions.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the FA's Girls' Schools Talent Education Programme.
* Support the production and distribution of resources for clubs, schools and parents.
* Lead and implement robust data management processes within the FA's Girls' Schools Talent Education Programme, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
* Provide operational support for the planning and delivery of events associated to the delivery of the Barclays Talent Education programme.
* Oversee the administration process of providing grants to players and schools via a means-tested hardship fund.
* Provide operational support to the FA Women's Talent Education Lead and FA Women's Talent Education Coordinators.
* Ensure the effective branding and attribution associated to the Barclays Talent Education programme, appears on all relevant communications and resources.
* To support the FA Women's Talent Education Team in demonstrating impact of the programme via KPIs, data and insight and best practice case studies.
* Provide effective budget management and reporting for the Barclays Talent Education programme.
* Utilise key FA systems to coordinate team meetings, including room and accommodation bookings as needed, while also attending departmental meetings and collaborating with internal teams to ensure alignment and consistency in delivering the FA Women's School Talent Education Programme.
* Work closely with the FA Women's Technical Team to support the successful implementation of the Women's Technical Strategy.
* Executes additional tasks as required to meet the FA's changing priorities.
* Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure that the highest standards of health, safety, and well-being can be maintained.
* As part of the FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.

What are we looking for?

Essential for the role:

* Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, demonstrating the ability to collaborate efficiently with both internal and external teams.
* Proven experience in establishing and maintaining data collection systems.
* Exceptional ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing demands.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel

Beneficial to have:

* Experience working in a school administration setting or a strong understanding of the education sector.
* Familiarity with or experience in the Barclays Girls' Football School Partnerships (BGFSP) network.
* Understanding or experience in club and community-based sports.
* Knowledge of the women's football talent development system.
