RGD Care Solutions is looking for a proactive Team Leader & Events Coordinator to lead our adult day services across two welcoming venues in Oldham. This is a unique dual role — combining care leadership with creative event planning — ideal for someone who thrives on building connections and creating joyful, supportive spaces for older adults.
Key Responsibilities
As a Team Leader, you will:
* Lead and support a team of care staff day-to-day
* Organise rotas, manage handovers, and ensure high care standards
* Act as the safeguarding lead and ensure accurate record-keeping
* Be the point of contact for families and community professionals
* Oversee transport and meals in collaboration with the wider team
As an Events Coordinator, you will:
* Plan and deliver engaging, dementia-friendly activities (music, arts, games etc.)
* Organise themed events and celebrations (e.g. seasonal parties, reminiscence days)
* Involve service users in shaping the activity programme
* Work with local groups, entertainers and volunteers
* Manage a basic events budget and track participation
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 2 years' experience in care (ideally in a senior/team lead role).
* Experience supporting older adults, especially those living with dementia
* Warm, calm, and confident communicator
* Creative and organised, with a passion for activity coordination
* Enhanced DBS certificate (ideally already held)
* First Aid, safeguarding, and manual handling training preferred
* Knowledge of CQC standards is an advantage
