Overview
Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in schools across Merton. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the learning and development of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 and group support for pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language needs.
* Assist teachers in adapting lessons and classroom resources to meet diverse learning needs.
* Encourage and support positive behaviour, participation, and independence.
* Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
* Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Requirements
* Previous experience supporting children with SEN in schools or similar settings.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to challenges.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
