Armstrong World Industries (AWI)is seeking motivated candidates for our Summer Engineering Internship opportunities based at our Corporate Campus in Lancaster, PA

Engineering Internship Program Offerings



Mechanical : Capital Engineering Intern:

:Completing an assigned engineering project during the term of the internship
:Contributing to several ongoing capital engineering projects within the plant
:Experience with and exposure to supporting the Project Management Life Cycle, including:

:Preparation of project specifications and requirements
:Project schedule coordination and utilization of Project Management tools
:Installation oversight, project closing activities, and sustainability initiatives
:Valuable insight into large:scale manufacturing facilities, equipment, and safe working practices
:AutoCAD experience : updating existing drawings and creating new drawings
:Exposure to Conveying, combustion, fluid, and pneumatic transfer systems


Mechanical : Maintenance Engineering Intern:

:Experience with and exposure to the primary components of Equipment Reliability, including:
stylelist:style:type:circle:
:Asset management and process improvement
:Capital management and execution
:Contractor integration and management
:Development of machine maintenance best practices (PM, PdM, and more)

:Outstanding interpersonal skills and a team:oriented mindset
:Capability to build and nurture relationships with other functions within Armstrong
:Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

:A track record of leadership through work, school, or extra:curricular activities


Required Qualifications

:Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) at an ABET accredited program
ANDbe a maximum of 24 months away from graduation
:Minimum 3.0 GPA (cumulative, and within major)
