Description

We are seeking a Manager, Field Operations, to streamline and elevate our Amazon Logistics (AMZL) operations based in London, to drive process improvement and optimization within the Amazon Flex business. The Manager, Field Operations, will be an experienced people-leader, strong with data, automation tools and SQL to automate our processes and increase our efficiency to enable us to deliver bigger results.

Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors – called delivery partners (DPs) – to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can be their own boss delivering Amazon packages. Amazon Flex is powered by a mobile app that works in concert with our advanced logistics systems that allows delivery partners to on-board, schedule delivery times, guide them through their deliveries with in-app mapping and navigation, and more. The approach and technology are disruptive and promise to challenge traditional approaches, changing the way the industry operates.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, passionate, analytical and detail-oriented, possess superior interpersonal and communication skills, and have previous experience in leading a team in an operational/programs/tech environment. A high bias for action and being comfortable with data is an absolute must, and candidates must demonstrate a track record of delivering results themselves and through others/their team.

Key job responsibilities

* Lead a team of Program Managers and drive the strategy for the Amazon Logistics business for Amazon Flex in the UK. Enable your team to find opportunities to automate and optimize existing Amazon Flex processes. This includes, but not limited to, our customer experience, on road driver experience, and productivity/cost programs.
* Identify new opportunities to experiment and pilot new programs, create new tools and reporting to drive business results. This will be done through leveraging yours and your team's skills with data, building of tools through Excel, Python, SQL, and more and driving long-term automation with tech teams to scale initiatives WW.
* Partnering with WW Flex teams to understand common challenges to adopt standard practice and identify opportunities to collaborate with tech teams to build automated tooling and solutions to hand off our processes.

Basic Qualifications

* Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
* Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
* Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery
* Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
* Experience in program or project management
* Experience managing teams
* Experience delivering cross functional projects
