About The Role
In your role as a Housekeeping Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person working here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to those people.
As a Housekeeping Assistant, your main responsibility will be maintaining a clean, hygienic, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Your attention to detail will be evident in the environment you help create. Whether managing the cleaning rota or actively participating in cleaning tasks, you’ll do so with kindness and professionalism.
We are looking for a Housekeeping Assistant with experience, although we will provide comprehensive training. Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential. Beyond skills, your positive energy and ability to get along with others are crucial. You should be a great communicator, attentive and considerate when interacting with residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should also be proactive in seeking advice and reporting concerns, including escalation if necessary.
We offer full training and a variety of benefits to support your well-being and career development, including:
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
* Company pension scheme
* 28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
* Group life assurance cover
* Wagestream - flexible access to earned wages
* Learning and development opportunities, including qualifications
* GP online service for you and your children under 16
* Colleague discounts at over 1600 high street stores
* Confidential Employee Assistance Programme for physical, mental, and financial support
* Recognition schemes such as ‘Kindness in Care’ and Long Service Awards
* Refer a friend scheme earning up to £1000 per referral
We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can be their true selves. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities.
Our goal is to ensure a smooth onboarding process, from the job offer to your first day and beyond. We look forward to welcoming you to HC-One.
