Opportunity Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to temporarily join a leading global financial services firm as a Regulatory Reporting Specialist. The firm provides investment banking, securities, investment management, and wealth management services worldwide, with over 1,200 offices in 43 countries.
Role Objective
The Disclosures team within Glasgow Finance is part of the global External Reporting team, producing financial regulatory reports in accordance with various accounting and regulatory frameworks. The team prepares financial disclosures and regulatory reports for global regulators, contributing to numerous projects driven by changing regulatory requirements. The team also enhances production processes through digital tools and reporting controls, working closely with stakeholders across the firm including Product Controllers, Finance Technology, Legal Entity Control, and the Accounting Policy Group.
Key Responsibilities
* Understand external reporting production processes and document requirements for technology development.
* Participate in testing of the technology platform for external reporting.
* Troubleshoot issues during production testing, communicating effectively and escalating as needed.
* Present testing requirements and results to relevant teams.
* Create procedural documentation for new systems, ensuring controls are in place.
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in financial/regulatory reporting.
* Experience with projects in large finance or investment firms.
* Experience working with large datasets.
* Comfortable in a global organization.
* Excellent communication skills, including effective escalation.
* Risk awareness and escalation skills.
* Ability to challenge processes.
* Self-motivated with problem-solving skills.
* Strong work ethic, responsible and deadline-oriented.
* Autonomous working ability.
* Ability to prioritize multiple issues.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Knowledge of digital tools (Alteryx, PowerBI).
* Financial services or product knowledge is a plus.
