Role Overview:
KBR’s latest Viaverse was deployed for the Department of Work & Pensions Estates (DWP-E) to deliver the ‘Integrator2’ platform in May 2022. This platform acts as the ‘single source of truth’ for DWP Estates teams, ensuring consistent, performant, and efficient lifecycle management of assets across their sites. It manages real-time transactional flows to DWP Estates supply chain partners and provides management information and insights to stakeholders.
DWP-E has embarked on a major re-procurement of asset management services via the ‘Workplace Services Programme’ (WPS), redesigning and transitioning services into six new lots. Each project involves redesign, build, test, transition, and hypercare, with significant data transition and operational changes, expected to conclude around November 2025.
Led by the senior team that mobilized the platform, KBR is building a multidisciplinary technology team to deliver critical components of the DWP WPS Programme. This is a significant opportunity to join a large-scale public sector project delivering substantial benefits.
Responsibilities:
* Identify, create, and maintain Data Dictionary to support new requirements, ensuring mapping to ‘as-is’ Data Dictionary for migration and transition planning.
* Review contractual and business requirements to analyze gaps between current and new systems.
* Coordinate new data sources with client counterparts, ensuring secure storage and utilization.
* Assist in creating synthetic data for development/testing when actual data is unavailable or unsuitable.
* Establish governance and stakeholder relationships to ensure data accuracy and proper handling.
* Support transition planning, focusing on data migration, data transition tasks, and milestones.
* Work directly with the client on operational transition planning, including handling open work orders and invoicing issues.
* Prepare data for transition to live environment.
* Lead hypercare data reconciliation exercises.
* Identify data risks, issues, and assumptions for RAID logs.
* Support in Quality Gateway management with data products.
Experience:
* Experience in data migration, transition, or collation projects, especially in environments involving data cleansing and restructuring for migration.
* Experience with CAFM software and/or FM contract delivery.
* Proficiency with SQL and MS Excel (including macros and pivots).
* Experience in analytics, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
* Ability to produce materials outlining data transition processes.
* Knowledge of systemized processes and workflows ensuring data-business flow synergy.
* Responsibility for data integrity in system development.
* Experience in leveraging data for insights while maintaining security and integrity.
* Ability to work in fast-paced projects with fixed deadlines.
Technical Skills/Knowledge:
* Intermediate MS Excel skills, including macros and pivot tables.
* Basic SQL understanding is a benefit.
* Experience with Jira KANBAN or similar tools.
* Good knowledge of software, integration, and hosting technologies (Azure, IaaS virtualized).
