Are you passionate about swimming?
Here at Northern Community Leisure Trust, our goal is to get more people active by providing affordable, safe, and enjoyable lessons for all. We are currently recruiting swimming teachers to expand our programmes and ensure we can do just that. If you are passionate about providing all children and adults access to affordable lessons regardless of their ability or background, this role could be right for you.
We follow the tried and tested Swim Ireland learn-to-swim framework, developing swimmers' confidence through fun and enjoyable lessons. Many of our swimmers have progressed to swim competitively and even represent our country.
As a swimming teacher, you will deliver safe, fun, and progressive lessons. We also prioritize your career and personal development, offering flexible contracts based on your availability.
We cover the costs of safeguarding and DBS checks, and you won't need personal insurance as you're covered by ours. Working with us allows you to operate across all our leisure centres and provides excellent training and development opportunities.
Our in-house Aquatic Training Academy offers ongoing CPD training in swimming teaching, supporting your career growth. There is a clear pathway for progression into management or other roles within the organization.
Serco manages these facilities on behalf of the Trust.
What you’ll need to do the role
Possess excellent customer service skills and enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
Hold either a STA Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming or Swim Ireland Level 2 qualification.
Having a valid RLSS UK NPLQ, RLSS UK NRASTC, or STA Safety Award for Teachers is advantageous but not essential, as we can provide training to complete these courses free of charge.
A DBS check is required for this role.
What we offer
* Access to leisure benefits. Please see further details.
Serco/Serco Leisure Operating Limited manages the recruitment process and the Trust’s employees in delivering the service. We are committed to equal opportunities. If you have additional requirements or need extra time to submit your application, contact our Recruitment Team. A criminal record will not automatically disqualify applicants; decisions are made based on the Northern Community Leisure Trust Vetting Policy, which is included at the time of the advert and applies to positions requiring Access NI disclosure certificates.
