Senior Highways Design Engineer - Contract (Outside IR35)

37-40 hours per week
4 days office (Mon-Thu) / 1 day WFH (Fri)
I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Highways Design Engineer to join a well-established consultancy's Highways design team, based out of their Stockport office.
This role would suit someone with a strong background in local authority highways design - particularly active travel, pedestrianisation, and cycle schemes - rather than motorway projects. You'll be joining a supportive, busy team delivering high-profile local transport improvements across the region.
What we're looking for:
Experience in Highways Design (local roads / active travel schemes)
Strong knowledge of DMRB and local authority design standards
Proficiency with industry design software (e.g. Civil 3D, AutoCAD)
Able to produce detailed design drawings and reports to a high standard
Based within commuting distance of Stockport

Hybrid working: 4 days in the office (Mon-Thu), 1 day WFH (Fri)
