Senior Project Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join our Sizewell team. The ideal candidate will have a background in Civil Engineering.
The Senior Project Manager will oversee high-value, fast-turnover, or complex delivery programmes, managing multiple workstreams and customer reporting.
The role includes responsibility for all project aspects: planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure, ensuring targets and budgets are met.
Key Accountabilities include:
1. Manage programme and ensure effective programme management;
2. Plan short-term activities and communicate with the team;
3. Administer and approve contract programmes (e.g., Cl31, Cl32, CE, Cl14);
4. Ensure adequate resources, including staff, operatives, and supply chain;
5. Understand and administer project contract documents correctly;
6. Ensure safety compliance and safe systems of work;
7. Manage third-party interfaces and liaison;
8. Support Galldris Behavioural Safety programmes and hazard reporting;
9. Manage quality according to the Quality Management Plan, including ITPs, Check Sheets/WIS, and NCRs;
10. Implement and adhere to document control procedures and electronic platforms;
11. Develop project controls for reporting and KPI adherence;
12. Manage designers and consultants, ensuring timely delivery of design outputs;
13. Identify and manage risks and opportunities;
14. Oversee cost and value management, including resource planning, change recovery, and reporting;
15. Prepare and present Monthly Project Progress Reports, Reviews, and CVRs to senior management;
16. Support work winning and bid teams, potentially acting as pre-construction lead or bid manager;
17. Demonstrate leadership behaviors, professionalism, and integrity;
18. Perform other duties as appropriate;
19. Comply with company policies and procedures.
Experience/Knowledge:
* Extensive construction knowledge and techniques;
* Proven track record in managing operational delivery in construction;
* Experience with large-scale projects and temporary works;
* Managing multi-disciplinary teams and mentoring;
* Experience presenting reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
* CSCS certification;
* CITB 5-Day Safety Supervisor course.
Skills:
* IT literacy;
* Excellent verbal and written communication;
* Client and internal stakeholder management skills;
* Organized, proactive, positive attitude, eager to learn;
* Strong organizational and planning abilities.
