This role involves working alongside people on a 1:1 basis, offering support with developing their CVs, interview preparation, applying for jobs, and gaining employment. The role will also support enabling people to build skills and confidence to enter the workforce, as well as supporting groups within the day service to gain skills. No two days will be the same.
Experience is not essential as induction and training will be provided. However, we are looking for candidates who:
* Are good at building positive relationships with people.
* Can work independently and as part of a team.
* Have experience in using ICT systems and equipment such as Word, Excel, Outlook, emails, laptops, and mobile phones independently.
* Understand the importance of maintaining records, including data protection and GDPR.
* Are able to travel independently, with access to a vehicle for work with relevant business insurance.
Geographical Coverage
The role covers the following areas:
* Lewes & Wealden, including the coastal strip from Saltdean through to Seaford and surrounding areas. The work base is in Lewes. There is 1 full-time post working from this location.
* Hastings & Rother, including Eastbourne through to Hailsham and surrounding areas. The work base is in Bexhill. There is 1 full-time post working from this location.
Support may occasionally be required in other parts of the county, so access to a vehicle is essential. Miles for business travel can be reclaimed at 45 pence per mile.
Working Hours and Application Process
Working hours are between 9 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday.
