Here's what you'll be doing
The E.ON I&C Pillar combines the current nPower nBS & E.ON B2B businesses to create a new £5 billion revenue business serving approximately 20,000 customers and 200,000 meter points, aiming to become the leading B2B energy supplier in the UK.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Solutions Architect to join our Digital Technology & Change team. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the I&C system landscape and ensuring alignment with E.ON I&C's business strategy, objectives, and outcomes. This role is based in Solihull with hybrid working options.
Key responsibilities
* Own IT solution design for the I&C business, driving the I&C IT application roadmap.
* Translate business requirements into IT system application or process designs, covering both functional and non-functional aspects.
* Collaborate with business teams and Change Management to ensure proper solution design and deployment.
* Provide architectural guidance to implementation teams and third parties during solution design.
* Advise on regulatory and critical IT projects and programmes.
* Identify continual service improvements to I&C IT architecture.
* Participate in architectural governance activities within I&C.
* Manage risks associated with architectural decisions through appropriate standards and policies.
* Work with Digital Technology & Change Leadership to reduce Total Cost of Ownership in I&C.
What we need from you
* Significant experience in architectural governance with third-party providers in an outsourced environment, including assurance of proposal suitability.
* Proven track record managing IT architecture in complex multi-application/multi-project landscapes.
* Strong understanding of architectural modelling techniques.
* Ability to drive continuous improvements within IT architecture.
* Understanding of project lifecycles and phases.
* Skill in translating business needs into IT solutions.
It would be great if you had
* Knowledge of the UK Energy Industry.
* Experience with frameworks like TOGAF, Zachmann, FEA, or similar.
* Knowledge of ITIL / SIAM processes and architectural integration.
* Experience with architecture tools such as LeanIX or similar, and related certifications.
