Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled software engineer to lead the development of a transformative AI-driven platform for the health and education sector. This next-generation solution will use generative AI, cloud technologies, and real-time learner analytics to deliver immersive, interactive training experiences for professional users.
As the technical lead, you will drive the design, architecture, and implementation of a scalable SaaS platform, working at the intersection of applied AI, education, and health innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, development, and integration of a secure, cloud-based web application powered by LLMs and ML models.
Develop modular, API-based microservices to support adaptive content, user interactions, and backend analytics.
Build dynamic dashboards for data visualisation and learner performance tracking.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and designers to translate learning objectives into technical features.
Ensure product quality through test-driven development and agile delivery.
The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with The Atlantic Technology University, (ATU) as part of the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme.
Interviews will be held approximately week commencing: 26/10/2025
Minimum 2.2 degree in computer science or software engineering related discipline.
Experience of modern web application technologies (such as React, NodeJS, ASP.NET)
Knowledge of AI techniques such as machine learning, natural language processing and large language models.
Must be legally entitled to work in Northern Ireland/UK and travel thorough the island of Ireland if required; if you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Northern Ireland/UK you must upload a copy of it with your application.
Two plus years postgraduate experience in a software development role.
Portfolio or exemplars of:
Practical use of cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) in the development and deployment of software solutions.
Training and application of LLMs in a research or industrial setting.
Experience of web API protocols such as REST or GraphQL.
