Practice Director (Full or Part Time)

The Opportunity
Marlow Medical Group is a large, innovative, and forward-thinking GMS practice, providing high-quality care to around 39,000 patients across four sites. We are seeking an exceptional and strategic leader to join our Partnership as Practice Director. This senior role carries overall accountability for achieving the organisation's operational and strategic goals, which you will help set in close collaboration with the Partners.
About the Role
As Practice Director, you will provide strong leadership and clear vision for the practice. You will oversee day-to-day operations across all sites while shaping our long-term strategy and growth. This is a rare opportunity for a proven professional to make a significant and lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide exemplary operational leadership and ensure the smooth running of all sites.
* Work with the Partnership and senior management team to develop and deliver organisational strategy.
* Provide strategic oversight of all business aspects of the GMS contract, including QOF and Enhanced Services, while actively identifying and pursuing new business and commissioning opportunities.
* Oversee the practice's engagement with partners in public health programmes such as flu and COVID-19 vaccination campaigns.
* Drive financial performance through robust planning, oversight of income streams and review of monthly accounts.
* Ensure full compliance with CQC, Information Governance and all statutory regulations.
* Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing multidisciplinary workforce.
* Represent the practice externally with the ICB, PCN, Federation and other stakeholders.
* Champion innovation and digital transformation to enhance patient care and practice efficiency.
About You
You will be an experienced NHS primary care leader with substantial management experience; prior practice management experience is desirable but not essential. You will bring:
* A comprehensive working knowledge of the GMS contract and the wider regulatory and commissioning landscape.
* Proven ability to deliver financial and strategic planning at scale.
* Strong leadership and HR skills, with the ability to inspire, develop and support a diverse team.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills to build trust with staff, partners and external stakeholders.
* Confidence in using digital systems and technology to modernise and improve services.
