About the Role
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream secondary school in Epsom with a dedicated SEN provision. This is an excellent opportunity to support students with additional needs within both the classroom and specialist settings, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs, both in class and within the SEN provision
* Work 1:1 and with small groups to support learning, engagement, and progress
* Assist the class teacher in adapting resources and lessons to meet individual needs
* Support students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
* Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and independence
* Build strong, supportive relationships with students and staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or similar setting preferred)
* A calm, patient, and proactive approach
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team
* A genuine passion for supporting young people
* Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
