As a Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include:
* Interacting confidently with external contractors: Coordinating repairs seamlessly.
* Collaborating with the team: Being a great colleague who values quality service.
* Maintaining high energy levels: Managing multiple tasks efficiently.
* Supporting the management team: Ensuring stores operate smoothly by maintaining equipment and facilities.
* Minimizing customer disruption: Coordinating repairs to reduce impact on customers.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Ensuring all Tesco sites are safe and functional environments for customers and colleagues.
* Following work schedules to achieve first-time fixes, improving efficiency.
* Working closely with team members, sharing best practices.
* Performing general day-to-day store and property maintenance.
* Using mobile devices to manage work and updates.
* Representing Tesco’s core values and maintaining a positive attitude.
* Attending meetings and providing feedback.
* Supporting a diverse and inclusive culture.
Requirements include previous experience in maintenance, engineering, or construction, and being digitally confident using tablets.
Operational Skills:
* ONC or equivalent qualification
* Full driving license
* Health & Safety awareness
* Communication & Collaboration skills
* Office 365 knowledge
* Completion of relevant technical training modules
Technical Skills:
* Security-related technical skills (City & Guilds, apprenticeship)
* CCTV experience (analogue & IP)
* CCTV certification (desirable)
* Ability to install and maintain CCTV equipment
* Experience with systems like Hikvision, Pelco, Hanwha Techwin
* Experience in retail environment (desirable)
* IT and Microsoft Office skills
* Customer/stakeholder escalation management
* Resource scheduling
* IOSH, IPAF, Asbestos Awareness qualifications (desirable)
