STI provides a full set of manufacturing services, from concept design through prototyping, production to complete box build including thermal vibration and full product test. STI also provides full lifecycle support – spares, repairs and long-term obsolescence management. We currently have a very exciting opportunity as a Returns Technician who will be responsible for the progress of return materials throughout the business. The Returns Division Technician is also responsible for communicating the up-to-date real time information of the progress of the RMA to all process stakeholders. Some of the main responsibilities include: Booking in RMAs into Epicor System Investigating and searching for missing information to track RMA Ensuring returned production information in RMA database is complete and accurate Making sure RMAs are processed promptly as they arrive from the Customer / Goods In Delivering returned merchandise to the appropriate location Ensuring merchandise is stocked in the appropriate area Create RMA routings, with the support from Engineering Communicating with Repair Technicians / Tech Cell for necessary repairs For this role you will need: IPC-A-610 Qualification desirable but not essential Understand component identification codes such as resistors, capacitors and ICs Able to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOM) Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time on repetitive tasks Able to work effectively to deadlines Demonstrates proactive approach Good communication skills Dexterity, Good Hand and Eye coordination The ability to adapt accordingly to new/prototype products and their requirements This role is full time, permanent and onsite in Hook, Hampshire.
