The Company:
My client provides Planning, Landscape, and Environment Consultancy advice to a broad range of sectors. Due to expansion, this multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for a motivated Town Planner to join their growing team, in York. Technical services in the Town Planning Department include a spectrum of Planning and Landscape Supporting documents, such as pre-planning, applications, and appeals. Established for nearly 20 years, they operate across a wide range of sectors including Residential, Energy and Waste, and Industrial.
The Role:
As a Town Planner, you will be responsible for working proactively and on your own initiative on a range of planning applications and planning appeals. Primarily, you will be working on large-scale residential and renewable energy projects. In this expert team of Chartered Planners, Architects, Landscape Architects, Urban Designers and Engineers, you will have a fantastic opportunity for professional development. The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
1. Relevant experience in the industry.
2. A proved track record of managing caseloads for different types of planning applications, ideally in the Residential or Renewable Energy sectors.
3. The ability to prepare and present high quality planning reports.
4. Experience writing appeal statements and the appeal process.
5. An accredited degree in Town Planning, or related subject.
6. Be working towards chartered status with the RTPI.
