Manufacturing Engineer – Sheffield (Onsite)

I’m working exclusively with a global engineering manufacturer that’s looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their advanced production team in Sheffield.
This is a hands‑on role focused on machining, tooling, and process improvement within a high‑precision manufacturing environment. You’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams to develop efficient production methods, solve technical challenges, and drive continuous improvement using Lean principles.
The Role
* Develop and implement manufacturing and tooling processes.
* Create and maintain manufacturing plans for complex machined components.
* Support production with technical problem‑solving and process optimisation.
* Apply Lean and continuous improvement principles to improve efficiency.
* Collaborate across engineering, quality, and production teams on new projects.
About You
* Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or related field.
* Experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
* Skilled in CNC / fabrication / assembly and 3D CAD systems (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor, or CATIA).
* Strong problem‑solving ability and hands‑on approach to process development.
* Confident working in a team‑based, continuous improvement environment.
Preferred: Experience in aerospace, precision, or advanced manufacturing, and knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as SAP.
