Overview
Mobile Gas Engineer – Oxford role at 14forty. Location: Oxford (3 hour radius) with some national travel required. Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday. Competitive hourly rate plus company van and tools.
What You’ll Be Doing
You won’t be tied to one site. You’ll play a key role in keeping critical systems up and running for our clients. Every day offers new challenges. You’ll be responsible for:
* Servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial and domestic gas heating systems
* Reactive maintenance and fault-finding across client sites
* Occasional install and upgrade projects
* Undertaking planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks
* Producing clear and accurate technical reports and service documentation
* Ensuring all work complies with current gas legislation, safety standards, and site policies
* Providing excellent on-site service and advice to clients
* Supporting broader maintenance work within your remit when needed
Essential Experience and Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Gas Engineer
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Gas or equivalent
* Strong knowledge of current gas safety regulations and legislation
* Proven experience across a range of commercial appliances
* Solid understanding of fault-finding, diagnostics, and maintenance
* Familiarity with heating controls, BMS, and plumbing
* Full UK driving licence
