Our client are one of the world's leading manufacturers of stand-alone machines and complete production lines for the industrial bakery industry.
Your challenge
As a Field Services Engineer, you will carry out mechanical and electrical assembly, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and service work on our bakery equipment. This includes both newly installed systems and upgrades or overhauls of existing lines.
You will begin with a 6-month structured onboarding period, receiving technical training at our manufacturing sites across mainland Europe and working alongside experienced engineers.
In this customer-facing role, you will support customers during breakdowns, maintenance periods, and installations, acting as a key interface between the customer and our coordination teams. Depending on project scope, you will either work autonomously or under the direction of a Supervisor.
What do we expect from you?
A recognised qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Practical experience in electromechanics or industrial maintenance
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and 3D schematics
Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset
Willingness to travel within the UK and abroad; a full UK driving licence and a valid passport are essential
Fluent in English (spoken and written); other European languages are a plus
Desirable: Experience with automation (Siemens S7, TIA Portal, SEW drives) or electrical certifications (training can be provided)
