The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Geography to join our successful Humanities department from September 2026. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3–5, delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that foster curiosity about the world and strong academic outcomes.
You will be part of a supportive and ambitious team dedicated to raising attainment and enriching students’ learning experiences through high-quality teaching and wider curriculum opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality Geography lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Plan and assess effectively to ensure strong student progress
Develop engaging schemes of work aligned to curriculum expectations
Use data to monitor, support, and improve student outcomes
Contribute to fieldwork opportunities and enrichment activities
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
Work collaboratively within the Humanities department and wider academy staff
Support the ethos, values, and vision of the academy
About You
We are looking for a passionate and reflective teacher who can bring Geography to life in the classroom.
You will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to achieve it by September 2026
A degree in Geography or a closely related subject
Strong subject knowledge across human and physical geography
The ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons
High expectations for student achievement and behaviour
A commitment to inclusive education and student success
Willingness to contribute to wider school life and enrichment
