The Role - In Summary
We're looking for a Finance Business Partner to work closely with senior stakeholders and budget holders, supporting better decision-making, financial discipline and performance across the group. You'll provide clear insight into performance, helping teams understand key drivers and where action may be needed.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, who can communicate clearly in plain English and build effective working relationships with stakeholders. You'll support budgeting, forecasting and reporting, contribute to performance analysis, and help identify risks and opportunities as they arise.
You'll also contribute to improving the quality and consistency of business partnering and performance reporting, supporting a more structured and informed approach to financial management.
Through this role, you'll help improve performance visibility, support accountability, and contribute to better commercial outcomes.
Candidate Match - What We Are Looking For
· ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
· Proven experience in a Finance Business Partnering role supporting senior stakeholders and budget holders
· Strong understanding of management accounts, key cost drivers, and margin/profitability analysis
· Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with the ability to explain performance clearly in plain English
· Confident producing insightful reporting and turning analysis into practical recommendations and actions
· Strong analytical skills, able to identify trends, risks, and opportunities early and support corrective action
· Experience working in a business with Invoice Discounting (ID) or similar funding facilities would be beneficial.
· Confident user of ERP/accounting systems and Excel, comfortable working with large datasets
· Strong communication skills, able to build credibility quickly and challenge constructively
· Highly organised, able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Skills
· Strong commercial finance skills with a focus on understanding performance drivers, margin and cost control
· Excellent problem-solving ability with a structured, analytical mindset
· Confident producing clear performance packs, variance analysis and decision-supporting insights
· Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups) and comfortable working with ERP/accounting systems
· Able to manage multiple deadlines, prioritise effectively, and deliver at pace
· Clear, concise communicator – written and verbal – with strong stakeholder management skills
· Able to provide constructive challenge and support budget holders in taking ownership of performance
· Process-driven with a continuous improvement mindset, focused on raising standards and consistency

· Good understanding of cashflow drivers and working capital, with awareness of the impact on Invoice Discounting (ID) facilities and cash visibility

· Experience in a Finance Business Partner or commercial finance role, supporting operational and senior stakeholders
· Evidence of contributing to improvements in budget ownership, forecasting and performance visibility
· Ability to identify key performance drivers and provide insight that supports improved cost control, profitability or operational efficiency
· Experience supporting improvements to reporting and planning processes to aid better decision-making
· Track record of working with stakeholders to support action on performance, including awareness of working capital and cashflow drivers and, where relevant, Invoice Discounting visibility
Role Responsibilities

· Support budget holders and senior stakeholders with day-to-day financial insight and performance support
· Produce monthly reporting for your areas, including variance analysis and clear commentary on key drivers
· Help improve budget ownership through effective budgeting and forecasting support
· Identify risks, overspends and underperformance early, and support corrective action
· Provide ad-hoc analysis to support operational and commercial decisions
· Work closely with Management Accounts and transactional finance to ensure month-end is delivered accurately and on time
· Support improvements to reporting, processes and financial discipline across the business
· Maintain awareness of working capital and cash drivers, including impacts on invoice quality and debtor performance
