We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Yard Operative to join our clients team. This is a hands-on role working in a busy yard, picking orders, loading and unloading materials, checking stock and keeping the yard organised so daily operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
* Picking order components accurately from order sheets
* Loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently
* Organising and storing stock in the correct yard locations
* Checking incoming and returned materials for damage or missing items
* Cleaning, sorting and preparing materials ready for use
* Assisting with stock checks and keeping basic records up to date
* Keeping the yard clean, tidy and safe at all times
* Supporting drivers and the wider team with daily yard duties
* Following health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
* Previous yard, warehouse or labouring experience would be an advantage
* Able to work in a physically demanding role and carry out manual handling duties
* Willing to work outdoors in all conditions
* Good awareness of health and safety
* Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
