Job Title: PE Support Location: Wakefield (WF4) Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time Are you an enthusiastic and reliable individual with a passion for sport and physical education? GSL Education are seeking a motivated PE Support to work in schools across Wakefield (WF4), supporting the delivery of engaging and active PE lessons. As a PE Support, you will work closely with PE teachers and school staff to support students during physical education lessons and sports activities. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in sport who enjoys working with young people in a school environment. Responsibilities: Support the delivery of PE lessons and extracurricular sports activities Assist teachers with setting up, organising, and managing equipment and resources Encourage student participation and promote positive behaviour during lessons Support students of varying abilities to ensure safe and inclusive participation Supervise students during indoor and outdoor physical activities Help maintain a safe, well-managed, and positive learning environment Requirements: A genuine interest in sport, fitness, or physical education Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or sports setting Good communication and teamwork skills A proactive, energetic, and flexible approach Ability to manage groups of students under guidance Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
