Our offer to you
This role offers a competitive salary of £70,975 - £74,360 per annum (depending on skills and abilities).
For applicants with an operational competence, there is an additional 20% Flexi Duty allowance, access to a response vehicle and a Surrey allowance of £1,690 per annum.

SFRS provide fire and rescue services to over a million Surrey residents, as well as the county's many visitors.
We employ approximately 700 members of staff, including firefighters, 999 call operators, trainers, mechanics, business support, and supply colleagues. Our teams work from 25 fire stations and our Headquarters site at Woodhatch Place, Reigate.
Surrey County Council (SCC) is our Fire Authority, meaning they have overall responsibility for fire and rescue services in Surrey. Any significant changes we make are scrutinised and subject to approval by Fire Authority members.
Surrey County Council is undergoing Local Government Re-organisation moving from a two-tier system to two new unitary councils in April 2027. If you are employed by Surrey on 01st April 2027, your role will transfer with current terms and conditions to the new Fire and Rescue Authority.
