Job Opportunity: Sous Chef at The Dukes Head

This is a great opportunity to advance your hospitality career as part of the Kitchen team within Surya Hotels. We are seeking a Sous Chef to join us at The Dukes Head.

The Dukes Head, with its striking powder-blue façade and Georgian elegance, is a historic part of King’s Lynn’s Tuesday Market Place. It combines period charm with contemporary chic, offering 80 spacious rooms and serving the best local produce in our restaurant, lounge, and bar.

We seek an enthusiastic Sous Chef passionate about great food, presentation, and quality service, capable of inspiring and leading the brigade. Apprentices will also be considered for this role.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Create, prepare, cook, and present dishes, leading your section and coordinating service with colleagues.
2. Manage wastage, portions, and time efficiencies while collaborating with all departments for smooth service.
3. Support the Head Chef in mentoring less experienced colleagues and work as part of a team to deliver excellent food promptly.
4. Flexibly cook and serve on any section to ensure consistent quality.
5. Adhere to Food Safety and Health & Hygiene regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization of your section.
