We work harder than anyone else to keep our customers on the road and as a result of our continued success and growth we're now looking to recruit an experienced Motorcycle mechanic/technician to join our workshop team.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate should have expertise in motorcycle/bike maintenance and repairs. This role requires hands-on experience, strong technical knowledge, and leadership abilities to oversee and mentor a team of technicians in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Carry out inspections and service routines, repairs and testing of vehicles, ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Rebuilt engines (specifically for 125 cc engine motorcycle/bikes).
* Manage work assignments and ensure timely completion of repairs and servicing.
* Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed to the highest standard and in line with company specifications.
* Perform final quality checks and tests to verify that all vehicles are ready for customer use or delivery.
* Plan necessary work and order parts to ensure vehicles are ready as promptly as possible.
* Maintain a safe and efficient workshop environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures.
* Maintain working area, tools and equipment in a safe and clean condition.
* Supervise and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance and training on technical skills and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience (3+ years) in motorcycle or motorbike vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics.
* Strong engine rebuilt knowledge, specifically 125 cc engines.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, batteries, motors, and vehicle diagnostics.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
* Proven ability to lead, train, and support technicians in a busy workshop environment.
* Familiarity with workshop safety standards and regulations.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical staff or customers.
* Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
