As a Customs Clearance coordinator for MSC you’ll be working with our valued clients to ensure a personalised point of contact, offering a high level of customer service.
How you will help us and what you can expect
* To be responsible for producing high quality customs entries
* Ensure accuracy of information from importers, prior to completing the customs entry from clients instructions
* Maintain all files ensuring that any Duty & Vat entered through our Deferment are invoiced and funds collected prior to transmission of the entry
* Monitoring of Vessel arrivals and delivery dates to prioritise workload accordingly
* Develop business relationships with our clients, resolving any concerns and ensuring corrective action is taken
* Contribute towards the ongoing Company vision to increase the client base, revenue and profitability of the Customs product
* Working with our clients regarding any delays & potential cost implications
* Contribute ideas and discussions for department evolution
* Working within HMRC regulations
* Dealing with general enquiries from importers concerning all areas relating to customs procedures
* Offer a flexible approach to colleagues
Skills and experience you’ll bring to us
* Previous Import customs clearance experience preferred
* Knowledge of CNS and Destin8 preferred
* Ability to maintain high level of customer service
* Good numeracy, literacy, and IT skills, including Microsoft skills
* Attention to detail
* Good communication skills
* Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
