Our Client is looking to appoint a Mechanical Engineer into their EMEA Regional Engineering team, supporting mission‑critical facilities across the UK and mainland Europe.
This is a regional, non‑shift role focused on mechanical engineering standards, optimisation, and operational excellence across a growing data centre portfolio.

What you’ll be doing -
* Support regional teams in the operation, maintenance, and optimisation of mechanical & cooling systems
* Define, implement, and uphold technical operations (Tech‑Ops) standards
* Carry out site inspections, audits, and performance reviews
* Review and approve high‑risk changes, incident reports, and follow‑up investigations
* Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and infrastructure upgrades
* Support energy business cases and improvement project planning
* Contribute to commissioning procedures, scenario testing, and lessons‑learned reviews
* Provide technical input into design reviews for complex mechanical infrastructure
* Deliver training, scenario exercises, and knowledge‑sharing with site teams
* Participate in an EMEA engineering on‑call / escalation rota
What we’re looking for-
* Strong background in mission‑critical mechanical environments
* Experience with HVAC, cooling systems, pressure systems, pumps, or evaporative cooling
* Track record supporting technical operations or engineering governance
* Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis, continuous improvement, and incident management
* Confident working across multi‑site, multinational environments
* Comfortable engaging with site teams, suppliers, and senior stakeholders
* Health & Safety awareness; recognised qualifications beneficial
* Fluent English (written & verbal)
