Manufacturing Engineer – Automation Whitstable, Kent | £40,000–£50,000 | Permanent | Mon–Thu 08:00–16:30, Fri 08:00–13:30 You will support the manufacturing team by taking responsibility for customer requirements, product/process development and production improvement. This role sits within a well-established engineering group known for providing high-technology interconnect, sensor and antenna solutions across various sectors. You will work across the engineering lifecycle with a growing focus on automation. Key Responsibilities: Participate in new product introduction (NPI) projects and engineering change activity, delivering stable process design and technical insight Support the team in the completion of product and process risk analyses (e.g. DFMEA, PFMEA) Provide installation/commissioning support for automated equipment and assist in validation (test plans, acceptance criteria) Investigate and solve quality issues in guidance with standards like ISO 9001 and AS9100 Support supplier, process, and customer quality improvement activities, including addressing non-conformances and providing help to resolve customer concerns Requirements: Minimum Level 6 /BEng level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a similar subject Currently Chartered/Incorporated or working towards chartership Extensive hands-on experience in a manufacturing or en...
