Role Overview
The role will primarily involve community rehabilitation both in the hospital and in the client’s own home, working under the direction of the physiotherapists. This is a hands‑on post and you will work with a range of patients with a variety of medical conditions.
You will be expected to carry out mandatory training, including how to move and handle patients. Training will include SVQ’s or HNC’s, and any qualifications in this sector will be an advantage on application.
Some administrative tasks will be delegated to you by the qualified physiotherapists and the AHP Team Lead. The role will also include the ability to assess, monitor and refine treatment programmes.
The team at Ross Memorial Hospital has a small AHP team of physiotherapists and occupational therapists, and the candidate will need to be flexible towards working.
You should have good communication skills, be a team player and have a flexible approach to your work. A sensitive and compassionate manner is essential to provide a good service to patients.

Full driving licence and use of a car for work purposes is essential.

Additional Information for Candidates
* Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part‑time hours will be adjusted on a pro‑rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
