Salary: £29,344 – £44,919
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Milton Keynes from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator committed to delivering high-quality maths education and inspiring students to reach their full academic potential. Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
Differentiate teaching to support pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEND and EAL
Track and assess pupil progress regularly, using data to inform teaching and targeted intervention
Promote mathematical reasoning and problem-solving through active and inclusive teaching methods
Uphold high standards of classroom management and behaviour in accordance with school policy
Contribute to departmental planning, moderation, and curriculum development
Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support student learning
Participate in school-wide events, enrichment programmes, and revision support sessions
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching mathematics at Key Stage 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 is advantageous but not essential)
Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for mathematics
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Ability to motivate and inspire pupils of all backgrounds and abilities
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Up-to-date understanding of teaching standards and educational best practice
