Trading Standards Professional Apprenticeship (Level 6)
Join our dynamic Trading Standards team to protect consumers and support legitimate businesses across Brighton and Hove. Earn while you learn and gain a Level 6 apprenticeship qualification.
You will work with experienced officers, gaining enforcement experience, and studying for the Level 6 Trading Standards Professional apprenticeship. The focus will be on tobacco and vapes enforcement.

About the role
This apprenticeship involves enforcing legislation related to food standards, scams, fair trading, product safety, age-restricted products, and more. Responsibilities include investigating complaints, visiting businesses, sampling, seizing unsafe products, advising, and formal actions. The role involves physical activity and manual handling.
The apprenticeship is supported by Credit Services Association, with flexible delivery methods including online workshops, e-learning, and workplace learning. You will be mentored throughout and assessed before completing the program.
The contract is fixed-term, approximately 30 months, focusing on tobacco and vapes legislation, with possible prior learning exemption. The role involves building relationships and promoting equality and diversity.
