Overview
Assistant Teaching Professor in Data Intensive Science (Fixed Term) – Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. This full-time position is connected to the MPhil in Data Intensive Science.
Responsibilities
* Create and deliver course modules for the MPhil in Data Intensive Science.
* Supervise, assess, and examine modules and provide projects for the Master’s degree.
* Maintain knowledge of current research status and techniques; participate in one or more research groups associated with the programme.
* Support the MPhil programme through teaching coordination and efficient administration.
Qualifications
* PhD in mathematics or physics.
* Extensive experience with advanced Image Analysis techniques from mathematics and AI perspectives, in academia or industry.
* Proven track record of teaching at the MPhil level on this topic and strong communication skills.
* Proficiency in Python and software development best practices.
* Highly organized with aptitude for coordinating academic teaching; research-active with ability to stay current in the field.
Terms
* Full-time fixed-term position. Start date: 12 March 2026; End date: 30 September 2026.
