Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your primary focus will be on assisting clients with daily living activities while promoting their independence and dignity.
Duties
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients in meal preparation and feeding as required.
* Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety of clients at all times.
* Maintain accurate care plans and documentation to track client progress and needs.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary.
* Engage clients in social activities and companionship to enhance their quality of life.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients.
* Ability to follow care plans accurately while being attentive to individual client needs.
