Inverkeithing Medical Group is a large, forward-thinking practice serving approximately 18,700 patients across our two sites (Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay). We are seeking a pro-active, forward thinking Practice Nurse to lead our nursing group
We are a well-established multidisciplinary team comprising:
1. 12 GP Partners
2. 1 Salaried GP
3. 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners
4. 5 Practice Nurses
5. 1 Healthcare Assistant
Supported by a wider team including:
6. A large CTAC team
7. Physiotherapy
8. Mental Health Nurse
9. In-house Pharmacist

Key Responsibilities
Clinical
19. Lead and contribute to management of long-term conditions:
20. Asthma / COPD
21. Diabetes
22. Hypertension
23. Coronary Heart Disease
24. Monitor chronic disease in line with protocols, including prescribing adjustments
25. Arrange and interpret blood tests
26. Deliver cervical screening
27. Provide contraceptive services and HRT
28. Deliver lifestyle advice and health promotion
Clinical
29. Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the nursing team
30. Act as a role model for high clinical and professional standards
31. Support staff development, supervision and mentorship
32. Contribute to service planning and quality improvement initiatives
33. Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive team culture
General
34. Maintain NMC registration and adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct
35. Maintain an up-to-date Personal Development Plan (PDP)
36. Participate in clinical meetings and practice development
37. Undertake any other reasonable duties as required
Essential Requirements
38. Registered Nurse (NMC)
39. Independent prescribing qualification
40. Experience in primary care / chronic disease management
41. Evidence of leadership or supervisory experience
42. Cervical screening competence
43. Strong communication and team-working skills
