AVK-SEG UK Ltd is at the forefront of the energy sector, committed to innovation and sustainability in power solutions. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Regional EHS Manager to oversee our environmental, health, and safety efforts across multiple data centre project sites.
As the Regional EHS Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and managing effective EHS programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment. You will serve as a key point of contact for EHS-related matters and be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards across all regional operations.
Role Overview
Lead the implementation of a professional, competent, and knowledge-sharing culture across all your sites, ensuring that best-in-class health, safety, and environment practices are planned, implemented, and shared effectively. Key Objectives
* Monitor and Improve EHS Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify improvement opportunities. Drive initiatives to reduce incidents and promote a proactive safety culture.
* Implement EHS Policies and Standards: Ensure corporate EHS policies, procedures, and standards are consistently applied across all sites within the region to achieve uniform safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
* Assist the H&S Director in the consistent rollout of company strategy and expectations within the EHS Management System.
* Conduct high-quality safety inspections and audits of AVK workplaces, perform risk reviews, and lead incident investigations.
* Liaise with enforcement authorities during routine visits or incident investigations.
* Understand bespoke client requirements and tailor management systems accordingly.
* Alert line management of any signs of safety deterioration or lack of ownership.
* Assist with tender and prequalification submissions, advising on health and safety concerns and providing practical solutions.
* Attend start-up meetings with site teams and other stakeholder meetings as required.
* Coach staff at all levels on health and safety expectations and standards.
* Implement and promote the use of the EHS management system.
* Foster innovative ideas to enhance safety performance.
* Deliver and collaborate on environmental and safety training programs.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree or diploma in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental fields, with 5+ years' experience in similar environments (construction and operations), or 10+ years' experience in EHS if without degree.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
* Good knowledge of EHS legislative requirements.
* Construction experience.
* Experience working in mission-critical environments.
* Membership in recognized health and safety organizations (e.g., IOSH).
Requirements
* Same as minimum qualifications, emphasizing experience in energy or construction sectors, regulatory knowledge, and certifications like NEBOSH or IOSH. Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards is an advantage.
