General Teaching Assistant – PR6 (Chorley Primary Schools) Teaching Personnel are looking for a committed General Teaching Assistant to work across primary schools in the PR6 area. This role will involve supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2 with their classwork, small‑group activities, and 1:1 interventions where required. Although this is a general classroom support role, many of our schools have pupils with additional needs, so having confidence supporting mild to moderate SEN (ASC, ADHD, speech and language needs, or SEMH) is highly beneficial. The ability to remain calm, patient and adaptable is key. Responsibilities: Supporting pupils in whole‑class settings Delivering small group activities and guided tasks Providing emotional and behavioural support when needed Assisting the teacher with classroom routines and learning Offering 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs Pay: £13.75–£14.50 per hour (PAYE) Requirements: Relevant school or childcare experience Confidence supporting pupils with SEN needs when required Good communication and a proactive approach Ability to adapt quickly in busy classroom environments Relevant experience is essential Important: ❗ Applications without a CV will not be considered For more details, call Morgan – All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
