Job Title: Transport Analyst Salary: £28,900 rising to £30,400 upon achievement of role objectives Contract : Full time & permanent Location: Desford, Leicestershire The Opportunity: As a Transport Analyst, you help make sure parts and materials arrive on time so production can keep running. You work with transport companies, suppliers, and site teams to track deliveries, sort out problems, and keep goods moving safely and efficiently. Your work helps avoid delays and supports day-to-day site operations. What you will do: As a Transport Analyst, you are accountable for, but not limited to: Check daily transport activity, identify delays, and understand how deliveries affect production. Look into late, missing, or incorrect deliveries and help find practical solutions to prevent repeat issues. Speak clearly with transport companies, suppliers, and internal teams to keep work moving and priorities clear. Help arrange time-critical deliveries and manage stillage collections to keep materials flowing. Record delivery performance accurately so issues and improvements can be tracked. Follow all Health & Safety rules and suggest improvements to make processes safer and more efficient. NB. What You Can Demonstrate: Logistics Knowledge and understanding: You understand how transport and material movement affect production and site operations. Problem-solving: You can identify issues, look into what caused them, and help find workable solutions. Clear Communication: You can share information clearly and confidently with drivers, suppliers, and colleagues to keep work moving. Organisation and reliability: You manage your tasks well, keep information accurate, and take responsibility for your work. What You May Have: Computers & Systems: Able to use systems to check deliveries, update information, and communicate electronically. Attention to detail: Able to check information carefully, spot errors or missing details, and keep records accurate. Flexible and Adaptable: Willing to adapt priorities, support the team, and respond calmly when issues arise.
